Funding Sub-Offices Enforcement and Offences Annual Reports and Accounts Council Meetings Role of the Council Structure and Members of the Council

The Council has power to authorise an Assay Office to assay and mark items at locations other than the main address. In 2001 and 2002 Council adopted a new policy and procedure relating to the exercise of the power, and agreed a Policy Statement, a Press Release and an Application Form. In 2002 Council approved four applications for sub offices - one of them was by Sheffield for renewal of the premises concerning the sub office at Carrs of Sheffield (Manufacturing) Limited and the others were by Birmingham for sub offices at Curteis Limited, at Cookson Precious Metals Limited, and at Gecko.

In 2003 further applications by Birmingham for a sub-offices at Optima Limited and HPJ Limited were approved.

In 2004 a further application by Birmingham for a sub office at Q.V.C was approved.
